The Yikong YK9071 YT7 PRO BATTLEMAN is a large-scale 1:7 4WD brushless racing truggy developed for high-speed off-road running, jumping and hard bashing. Rather than adapting an existing crawler chassis, Yikong has built the YT7 around a dedicated three-layer CNC aluminium structure with centrally positioned electronics, symmetrical twin battery trays and a heavy-duty full-time 4WD drivetrain. The result is a substantial 6S platform designed to combine high-speed stability with the strength required for large-scale off-road use.
The YT7 PRO receives Yikong's higher specification power system, using a large 4985 1050KV brushless motor paired with a Hobbywing MAX6 160A waterproof brushless ESC. The system supports up to 6S LiPo power and is normally configured around two side-mounted 3S battery packs, keeping the battery mass positioned evenly on either side of the chassis. Steering is handled by a powerful 60KG high-torque servo, giving the YT7 PRO the steering authority required by its large tyres and substantial overall size.
A major feature of the YK9071 is its unusual three-layer geometric chassis design. A high-strength CNC aluminium main chassis works with a reinforced upper deck, angled bracing and tough nylon side structures to create a rigid central assembly while also protecting the batteries and electronics. The motor, ESC, steering servo and front and rear gearboxes are positioned towards the centre of the vehicle, helping concentrate mass around the middle of the chassis for more predictable handling during acceleration, cornering and jumping.
Power is transmitted through a full-time 4WD drivetrain using front and rear CVD drive shafts and CNC-machined all-steel transmission gears. Yikong uses an innovative two-stage gearbox arrangement at the front and rear, designed to improve transmission efficiency while allowing the differential assemblies to remain more compact. A CNC aluminium gear mounting frame provides additional support to the drivetrain under the loads generated by the 6S brushless system.
The suspension has also been designed around large-scale off-road use. Heavy-duty thickened nylon suspension arms are combined with CNC aluminium oil-filled shock absorbers measuring 142mm at the front and 150mm at the rear. The chassis provides adjustable ground-clearance settings, allowing a lower setup to be used when increased stability is required or a higher setup for rough terrain, jumps and additional landing clearance.
Further reinforcement is found throughout the suspension and steering system. The front steering arms use internal steel T-bushes to improve strength, while the rear lower suspension arm pins incorporate ball-joint structures at both ends for smoother suspension movement. Large 19mm wheel hexes use an anti-loosening wheel nut design, while the strengthened one-piece rear wing generates additional downforce and stability as speeds increase.
The YT7 PRO is supplied as a factory assembled RTR vehicle with its 2.4GHz transmitter, leaving the drive batteries and charging equipment for the owner to choose. Yikong offers the PRO body in Matte Black with Gold or Matte Grey with Gold, visually separating the higher specification model from the standard YT7 colour range.
