The PD Racing TR10 4S takes the tough, wide-track TR10 truggy platform and adds a considerably more powerful brushless drivetrain capable of running up to 4S LiPo power. Designed for fast off-road bashing across grass, dirt and gravel, the TR10 combines a 3670 1950KV brushless motor, 120A ESC, enclosed metal gear 4WD transmission and large 140mm tyres in a factory assembled Ready to Run package capable of speeds of up to approximately 55mph on the appropriate setup.
Power comes from a 3670 1950KV brushless motor paired with a 120A ESC. Both the motor and ESC receive active cooling, with a heatsink and fan fitted to the motor and a separate cooling fan on the speed controller. The complete power system supports 2S through 4S LiPo batteries, allowing the performance of the TR10 to be tailored to the driver and available running space.
The full-time four-wheel-drive transmission uses an enclosed metal gear drivetrain, helping protect the gears from dirt and debris while putting the brushless power down through all four wheels. A red anodised aluminium chassis brace reinforces the hardened chassis, while aluminium wheel hexes add strength around the running gear. Protective side guards help keep mud and debris away from the electronics and drivetrain during harder off-road use.
Independent suspension and oil-filled coil-over shock absorbers provide the travel and damping required for rough terrain, jumps and higher-speed running. The wide 368mm stance helps keep the TR10 planted, while its large 140 x 65mm tyres provide plenty of ground clearance and grip across loose surfaces. Substantial front and rear bumpers, together with a rear wheelie bar, provide additional protection when using the full performance available from the 4S brushless system.
Steering is handled by a 15KG high-torque servo, giving the TR10 considerably more steering power than the brushed version. The supplied 2.4GHz radio system also includes an adjustable speed setting, allowing the maximum performance to be reduced while getting used to the vehicle before progressing to the full 4S setup.
The TR10 4S is supplied fully assembled with the motor, ESC, steering servo and radio equipment already installed. A drive battery and charger are deliberately left for the owner to choose, making it possible to run anything from a more manageable 2S setup through to the full-performance 4S configuration without replacing the factory electronics.
