Return and Refund Information

30 Day Flexible Returns
Serious-RC take pride in its products and the after care service provided. We want all of our customers to receive the best possible experience and be satisfied with their purchase.
For that reason we offer a flexible 30 Day return period for all items ordered from us.

Change of Mind / No Longer Required Returns
For complete peace of mind we offer a straightforward policy on returns; we offer a 30 day returns policy whereby you can return the item for any reason. Whether you have ordered the wrong item, no longer require the item or you have simply changed your mind, we will accept and process the return. 

We will provide a full refund (including any postage cost paid) as long as the following simple requirements have been met:

  • All item(s) to be returned in their original packaging- undamaged and suitable for re-sale
  • All item(s) to be unused, not installed or operated
  • All Item(s) to be returned within a 30 day period from point of order

Please note under these circumstances we cannot refund any postage charges incurred when returning item(s) to us. If the items are believed to be faulty please contact us first as we can usually provide a free postage label with Royal Mail.


Return of Used Items

Whilst we operate a very flexible and open return service, please do note we cannot issue a full refund for item(s) that have been used or operated (unless identified as faulty). Many of the remote controlled models available from us require mechanical knowledge to operate and it is the responsibility of the customer to determine if the model is suitable for them. We recommend all customers research their potential purchase thoroughly using Google, Youtube and hobby forums to ascertain the experience required and ensure it is suitable for their experience and skill level.

Our return policy is very flexible and therefore if you do unbox an item and use it we will still accept and process the return. However in these circumstances we will not provide a full refund and customers will be charged a restocking fee which is calculated based on the condition of the returned item and it's expected loss of re-sale value. 

 

Return of Faulty Items and Goods
If you suspect your goods are faulty we will direct you to return the faulty goods back to us. Please ensure the item is complete (where applicable) and returned to us securely to prevent further damage in transit and be sure to attach a proof of purchase receipt. A full refund can only be issued on orders for products found to be defective/faulty which are still within the 30 day period (from ordering). After this 30 day period only a repair/replacement will be offered.

In the case of suspected faulty goods please contact us as we can usually provide a free pre-paid postage label via the Royal Mail service. Alternatively, for faulty goods you can arrange your own return postage but be aware we can only reimburse you up to the maximum amount of £7.50. We recommend using the Royal Mail postage website for booking postage - you will be able to book the Tracked 48 hour service within the £7.50 allowance. 

Please note, return labels are only offered if the purchase is still within the 30 day period, outside of this the customer will be responsible for return postage costs. If goods are found not to be faulty we reserve the right withhold the return postage costs suffered from any refund issued.

Damaged or Incorrect Goods Sent
Upon fulfilling each order we ensure all item(s) are reasonably packed and are secure for transport. All item(s) leaving our premises have undergone thorough checks from their respective manufacturers and are sold on the basis of them being fully operational and non-faulty. If you have discovered a fault and believe it is a manufacturers defect then please inform us straight away and refrain from using the product altogether. On very rare occasions item(s) can also be damaged in transit and although this is something out of our control we will arrange for a either a replacement, repair or a refund - once the item and package has been inspected by us. If you discover missing items in your package then these must be reported within 72 hours of receiving your goods either by email or phone. Failure to do so would mean your claim being disregarded.

Orders intended as Gifts / Presents
Where goods are purchased in advance to be given as gifts or presents, we highly recommend that all such items are inspected for condition as well as normal operation. This is to ensure your rights for return/refund are not affected. Once the return period has passed we will not be able to process any claims for items that are found to be defective or non-working altogether. If you need an extended return period (beyond 30 days) please contact us BEFORE purchasing and we will try to authorise it. An extended return period will then be confirmed in writing via email.

Gifts, Gestures of Goodwill and Promotions
Please note that any gift provided to you or items provided as a gesture of goodwill must also be returned along with your order. This also applies to "Buy one get one free" offers; the "free" item must be included in your returned order.

We reserve the right to charge the customer the value of the item should it not be returned to us.

Organising a Return:

If you wish to return an item always contact us first so we can issue you an RMA reference and advise you when to send the return.

Orders returned without prior contact may take longer to process.
